Job Description

A growing private credit firm and asset manager is seeking a Deputy Chief Compliance Officer to join their team in New York City as they seek to build out the compliance function in addition to their current dedicated team of three complinace professionals. The firm works across a variety of sectors and industries via credit and strategic investing. It has a strong investment team and has grown to $25B+ assets under management in less than ten years. As they continue to grow, this opportunity has been created from scratch as a new position at the firm.

This opportunity is ideal for someone with at least ten years of experience handling investment advisory compliance related to fixed income, private credit, private equity, or insurance asset management. Experience managing a compliance program and working directly with the business on key issues is required to succeed in the position. Additionally, an ideal candidate would have comfort advising junior members of the compliance team. The position reports directly to the Chief Compliance Officer.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience within investment advisory compliance for private funds, insurance asset management, or credit/fixed income
• Ability to partner with key stakeholders and work with junior compliance team members
• Strong communication skills and comfort working with regulators and external auditors
• Robust knowledge of the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 and other relevant laws and regulations for the industry
• Advanced degrees preferred (MBA, JD, etc.)
• Five days a week in office
