Job Summary and Qualifications

Unit: This position is a triage nurse within the emergency department.

Provides leadership that enhances the delivery of professional nursing care for patient comfort and well-being. Utilizes the nursing process—assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation—to deliver, delegate, supervise, and document care and education for patients and families.

Qualifications:

• Required Experience: One year of RN experience.
• Preferred Experience: Triage and ER/Critical Care nursing experience.
• Required Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing or enrollment in a BSN program, with completion within 5 years of hire. Exemptions may apply based on specific criteria.
• Preferred Education: Master’s degree in Nursing.
• Required License: Current licensure as a registered nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing; eNLC license may apply.
• Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and CPI.
