Job Title: High School Social Studies Teacher Location: Near Bluffton, SC Schedule: 37.5 hours/week (anything over 40 requires superintendent approval) Start Date: ASAP End Date: 06/02/2026 Work Setting: In-person only Job Summary The High School Social Studies Teacher is responsible for implementing daily instructional plans, fostering a positive learning environment, and promoting student growth. This role requires effective classroom management, collaboration with administrators and staff, and adherence to district and state standards. Key Responsibilities + Deliver engaging Social Studies instruction aligned with curriculum standards. + Maintain a classroom environment conducive to learning and personal development. + Establish rapport with students and manage classroom behavior effectively. + Collaborate with building administrators and fellow educators. + Communicate professionally with parents, students, and staff. Minimum Requirements + Bachelor's degree or higher. + Valid teaching license/certification (state-specific). + One year of teaching experience preferred. + Ability to implement instructional plans and communicate effectively. + Basic math competency. + Compliance with professional standards and health requirements (CPR, TB test, health certificate as applicable). + Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements. + Minimum age: 18 years.
