We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Home Textile Designer/Merchandiser to join our team. The ideal candidate will design stylish and functional textile products—such as rugs, dec pillows and throws—with a strong focus on seasonal and everyday collections. You should have a keen sense for color and trends, and an eye for general aesthetics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design original and innovative textiles for home products, rugs, curtains, pillows, towels, and doormats.

  • Develop creative concepts tailored to seasonal trends, including color palettes and motifs.

  • Innovate with construction techniques that enhance product qualities

  • Collaborate with marketing to develop and promote collections for holidays and trend-driven launches.

  • Prepare detailed presentations to customers.

  • Communicate with manufacturers regarding sampling and production.

  • Review and approve prototypes to ensure design integrity, quality, and color accuracy.

  • Ensure timely delivery of goods.

  • Follow up with customers to evaluate sales and ensure timely product delivery

  • Attend trade shows, workshops, and industry events to keep designs current and inspiring.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Textile Design, Fashion Design, or a related field.

  • 2+ years of experience in home textile or surface pattern design (preferred).

  • Strong portfolio demonstrating creativity in home textiles.

  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop), CAD software, and design tools.

  • Comprehensive understanding of textile construction, print techniques, color theory, and trend forecasting.

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with sustainable, eco-friendly materials.

  • Experience working with overseas manufacturers.
