We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Pet Sitter to provide exceptional care for pets - in clients homes and/or boarding in pet sitters' home. The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for animals and the ability to handle various types of pets, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being while their owners are away. This role requires strong customer service skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.

Duties

• Provide daily care for pets, including feeding, walking, grooming, and administering medications as needed.
• Ensure a safe and clean environment for all animals in your care.
• Monitor pet behavior and health, reporting any concerns to the pet owner promptly.
• Handle various types of animals, including dogs, cats, and exotic pets.
• Maintain open communication with pet owners regarding their pet's well-being and any issues that may arise.
• Perform basic animal restraint techniques when necessary to ensure safety during handling.
• Assist with heavy lifting when required for larger animals or equipment.
• Provide excellent customer service to pet owners, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.

Requirements

• Previous experience in animal care or handling is preferred; experience as a veterinary technician or assistant is a plus.
• Strong skills in dog handling and general animal care practices are essential.
• Ability to safely interact with animals by interpreting body language.
• Excellent customer service skills to foster positive relationships with pet owners.
• Capability to manage heavy lifting associated with larger animals or equipment.
• A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their welfare is crucial.
• Flexibility in scheduling is important as pet sitting may require availability on evenings, weekends, and holidays
