Overview The Spirent SecurityLabs team is looking for a full-time Security Consultant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering our services to our clients at the highest quality standard, delivering comprehensive reports, and providing remediation guidance. You will provide thought leadership by speaking at conferences, publishing white papers, and blogging. Spirent SecurityLabs is a dedicated team of experienced security professionals providing comprehensive scanning, penetration testing, and monitoring services for networks, wireless, websites, mobile applications, embedded devices, as well as source code analysis for our clients. While this role is posted and open to remote work, the preference is for a hybrid work arrangement from our Plano, Texas office. Responsibilities Deliver services to clients at the highest quality standard, produce comprehensive reports, and provide remediation guidance. Contribute thought leadership by speaking at conferences, publishing white papers, and blogging. Collaborate with clients to scope and execute security assessments across networks, wireless, websites, mobile applications, embedded devices, and source code analysis as applicable. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; or equivalent work experience. Must have 5 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation. Experienced in executing Network Penetration tests. Strong understanding of network and security concepts, including TCP/IP protocol stack, and Experienced in platform hardening, access management, certificate management, network security, and operating system security. Strong understanding of Linux/UNIX and Shell scripting. Experienced in testing cloud infrastructure. Familiarity with 4G and 5G Networks (3GPP standards) is a plus. Demonstrated ability to successfully complete complex projects with minimal supervision. Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills. Extremely strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to work independently on multiple high-priority projects. Extremely strong problem-solving skills. Ability to multitask and handle changing priorities. Knowledge of programming and the ability to automate tasks in at least one language, including but not limited to Ruby, Python, PowerShell, or BASH. Must have OSCP or OSCE certification. Salary and Benefits Annualized Salary Wage Range: $99,600 - $178,000 Spirent applies geographic differentials to its pay ranges. The pay range assigned to this role will be based on the geographic location from which the role is performed. Starting pay is commensurate with relevant experience at or in line with the minimum requirements.
